We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team in Elk Grove,California. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive occupational therapy services to patients of all ages, helping them to improve their ability to perform daily activities and enhance their quality of life. This role requires a strong understanding of therapeutic techniques, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to patient-centered care, all while adhering to the regulations of the California Board of Occupational Therapy.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations to assess functional abilities and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address patient needs and goals.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions, including activities of daily living (ADL) training, adaptive equipment recommendations, and environmental modifications.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Educate patients and their families on strategies to promote independence and participation in daily activities.
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient records.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
  • Adhere to all ethical and professional standards, including those set by the California Board of Occupational Therapy.

Qualifications:

  • Master's or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Valid Occupational Therapist license in the state of California.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Strong knowledge of therapeutic techniques and adaptive equipment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
